1st Baked Birthday Cake & Recipe ~

I've been planning to bake a huge Birthday Cake for my hubby's Birthday & I've decided on -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

STRAWBERRY CHEESE CAKE ! Yummmmmmmmmmmy!!!!!!

Not only I did create d cake myself, kids put in alot of effort baking 'Papa' a Big Birthday Cake!

Here's d recipe I am planning to share with you - D world's simpliest easiest Yummylicious Strawberry Cheese Cake ever *Wink*

All you need - 2 packages of Philadelphia Cream Cheese 250gm each

                    - 20-25 pieces of Marie Biscuits / Digestives or any other butter flavoured biscuits

                    - 1/4 cup Margarine melted
                    - 1/2 cup Castor Sugar
                    - 2 Tsp Vanilla Essence
                    - 2 Medium Eggs
                    - Zest & 1 Tbsp of 1 Lemon (Optional)

                                                      Perfect Strawberry Birthday Cake

Kids crushing d Biscuits. Great work kiddos!

                               Crushed biscuit bits with melted margarine. Crust is ready!
                               Set to bake for 10 minutes

                                  2 eggs, 2 packets Philadelphia Cream Cheese, Castor sugar,
                                  Vanilla essence & Lemon  
                                  Beat cream cheese & sugar until smooth, add vanilla essence & eggs.   
                                  Mix until smooth. Pour d cheese over d crust.

                                Set d Cheese Cake to bake at 170 degress celcius for 40 minutes

                        Mix 4 Tbsp of strawberry jam into strawberry slices. Set aside for 30 minutes

Caitlyn's very 1st TVC Gardenia Waffles.

Finally! Caitlyn has broken d ice of getting herself a BIG TV commercial! A little history here, I used to be in d 'Advertising' line for years & I am very familiar with d limelight. But, d people I used to worked with .. have moved on. So, I had to start from scratch ..

I started sending my kids for casting when Caitlyn was just 2 years old & lil Cruz was just 1. But both did not land a job. Well, actually .. Cruz did! It was not a TVC / Casting .. I joined a Johnson Baby search & he won d runner up category. I still have d family photo sitting in my living room - We were all dressed in White, was published in Mommy & Baby Magazine back then. I was amazed with d prizes too! We received RM800 worth of Johnson Baby products! Yeah! I guess that was d very 1st & last advertorial for lil Cruz. He dislikes Casting sessions now.

Caitlyn has been very lucky as in - Being shortlisted for several TVC's but her luck never seemed to go further. Oh well, we tried...we waited & waited ..

WEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!! Gardenia Waffles TVC!!! Woo hoooo!!!

She had to be at d shooting site in Seksyen 16 as early as 6.30am! I kinda freaked out when I received d calling time. Thank god she woke up on time & she did not make any fuss at all. She had to get her make up & hair done & started filming at 8.30am. Well, d very 1st scene was pretty tough for her (bear in mind) it is her very 1st experience in acting. Took her 3 hours just to get d 1st scene right! I started scratching my head, feeling very nervous for her if she is going to show her temper or call it quits! But thank god...thank god she made it through! Wanna hear something hilarious? She had 50 pieces of Gardenia Waffles! Ha ha! Well, not d entire Waffle, just a bite of every Waffle. Thank god she loves Waffles! It was an amazing experience for Caitlyn & there was at least 40 crew members around & she was extremely natural in front of d camera!

Gardenia Waffles is out on every chanel except RTM.

Big Make Over

January, February, Mac .......... comes August ! Gee, time sure flies in a flash !

Yes, I am talking about my lil girl's concert. I had to apply full dark stage make-up for her as requested by d teachers. Hence, I bought her her very own make-up brushes. I didn't want her to use mine, did not want her to develop any zits at such a young age! Best to avoid sharing make-up brushes, eyeliners, & mascara too. Yes, these are d most infectious!

I had so much fun applying make-up on my baby! She would just stay put & not move an inch! Oohhh, my lil dolly!  Most of d teachers were amazed by her make-over & d falsie 'Eye lashes' she had on.

Dining d Traditional Way

Hahaha, U may be tickled by my Title there aye?

Oh well, once in a while I do like to set d table d traditional way with chopsticks & rice bowls. It does bring out d 'spark' during meal time.  'Aiya, not so boring mar' :)  Usually we will just get comfy with forks & spoons.

For dinner, I cooked 2 simple main dishes - Remember - Traditional Dining - *WinK*

- Black sauce pork with 2 hard boiled eggs
- French beans with cherry tomatoes
- Sai yong choy soup

D olden days 'hiong har' kampung dishes.
Black sauce pork is my Hubs all time favourite. My method, after frying I will transfer to slow cooker so d pork will soften within hours. Yummmmmmy! I am in fact salivating now! Plus, d egg just gives it d right touch!

Love of Heels

During my working days with d 'Advertising & Grooming' Company, I used to wear 4-5 inches stilletoes daily to work. I can even run with them! Whatever colour & designs, u name it I've worn it! I used to match with my handbags, aaaaahhhh...my wardrobe was filled with tons of handbags too! Those were d days. Partly, it was also my company's rules & regulations to look good 24/7.

This is my latest 5 inches - Aint it Gorgeous?? Simply could not resist when I first saw them! Awww!

* I did'nt have crappy toes from wearing stilletoes. I still have good looking toes & not tortured :) * U know what people usually say about wearing killer heels, right? It all depends......;p

Hello Kitty Pt 2

Do u remember I had written a Blog about Hello Kitty sometime back?

My blog followers would have known that my 'Princess' has a soft spot for Hello Kitty.

My favourite cousin sisters living abroad, have just come back for 'Visit Msia' holiday trip =D Both knew very much that my 'Princess' adores Hello Kitty heaps!

My 'Princess' was delighted with d Hello Kitty gifts & she went to bed with it..well, other than getting her 'My Little Ponies' to bed too! Hehe

Aint it 'Peeeeetiiii'? One of her Fav' dresses. How I wish they had it in my saiz. I would'nt mind playing mix & match Hello Kitty with my 'Princess' =D

Western or Chinese Doc ?

Cough, cough, pls go away :( U r bugging my lil princess' throat, sleep & daily routine. She would like to have her yummy Strawberry Ice creams again. She has not been tasting it for 6 weeks!

Her regular cough medicine does not work, gone for follow-up checks - not asthmatic or anything serious. Thank god. PD said - If this time d meds does not work, she has to be on Antibiotics.

Therefore, we chose to consult a Chinese 'Sin Seh' to see if there are better options before she's on Antibiotics. She has consulted him before for 'Heat Rash'. Yes, by boiling her d 'Chinese Herbal Medicine' to my surprise, it does wonders! She has better appetite too!

By listening to her heartbeat, 'Sin Seh' was not too happy. He shook his head & said

- She has a lot of wind. Not good.....
- Her Lungs have weakened. Shook his head....
- Avoid consuming chicken & eggs for 2 weeks....
- She seems to be quite dehydrated. Consume more water....
- Boil her more sweet soups....

 'Sin Seh' suggested she takes Cordyceps for 3 days. Ok, Cordyceps......hmmmmmmm.......must be pretty expensive aye? He went ahead to pack 3 packets of Cordyceps with mixture of --

- Tiger's Milk
- Chinese Barley
- Longan
- Cordyceps

Stew for 3 hours. Best she consumes d Chinese herbs too. Uhhhh....I highly doubt so. She may end up puking d entire drink! So, I chow down d herbs. Hehhe...I'm also recovering from my cough. So it is good for me too huh?

Taste - Bitter sweet. She did not quite like it.  No choice Honey! Just 3 days, once you're cured - U can have your yummy ice creams again.

Best part is ------ It cost us RM 450.00. Its OK, anything for our kids health.

I saw d price in d Cordyceps bottle - 3.5 Kg for RM 5,800.00 ! Wow !

Results ---------------------

She is able to sleep well through d nite, No more chesty coughs during d day, infact -- I hardly hear her cough now. :)
