Baking with ya lil Ones...

Junior Chef using cute cutters

Sprinkles over cookies! Ready for oven.

She made this! Cookies for Kindy party.

With Junior Chefs Help..

One day, Caitlyn came up to me and said - Mommy, I want to bake Cookies & Cupcakes - I went..Hmmmm?? Oh, slap head...must be highly influenced by Hi 5 educational fun programme. So I figured, hey, actually it is not a bad idea after all! Since she has developed an interest for baking, why not? We were told to train our kids from young & let them explore d 'montessori' way. Should expose our children to baking & cooking from young..this way, part of their growing process, somehow it tends to broaden their outlook, judging things at a certain level & we could also retire early! LOL! Just Kidding on d last part*
Squeezing d  Honey

Finally, Chefs Vanilla Icing Butter Cake with Starlets...All by herself............

Caitlyn has tried baking assorted Cupcakes, Cookies & Cakes. Hence, I have also allowed her to prepare Tuna, Ham & Cheese sandwiches for (Hubs & me) & made Honey Starlet bread which is known as Fairy Bread. Well, of course with my supervision & instead of handling d actual cutlery, I will hand her d plastic ones..to be on d safe side* Occasionally, I would also allow her to pour cordials from d bottle.
Thinking back, all these are 'Priceless' & their 'Smiles' are just unforgettable! Perhaps d next step, I shall guide her how to bake a bread soon? =D

I am so eager to start this with Cruz...but he is 'still' way too young to handle it. I think my entire kitchen will need a face-lift after! LOL!

A little about Ballet...

Have u tried Ballet? Have you come across a ballerina dancing so gracefully like a swan that influence you to participate?

Well, I was totally d opposite. I was into Taekwondo...aaaaiiiyah! Kick that ass! Hence, during my school days, I had always wanted to know how it was like to dance like a ballerina & what Ballet is. Actually, I had no clue about Ballet until...of late. Though many still pronouce Ballet as Bal'LET' d actual pronounciation is Balleh, 'T' is silent.

My daughter Caitlyn has been going for Ballet lessons for nearly 12 months & she loves it! Ballet is a very pretty dance, I must say! Seeing my daughter dancing in d studio like a swan, striking her tippy toes, pirouette & plies..just bring tears of joy! Her lessons are held once a week & I will definitely sit through d entire 45 minutes dance. She is 4 & currently in Baby Ballet, where they are guided to have proper foot muscle movements, balancing, hand & toe movements. Once she hits 5, she will be entering Pre-Baby. At 6, it will be tough for her as she needs to go for Ballet examinations. Not as simple as you think huh? As you grow older, d tougher it gets. Plus, all d costumes & hair accessories are costly too! I have also observed other on-going lessons & I am really amazed by their steps at such a young age! Bravo!
Ballet really enchances your charisma, poise, gives you good posture, confidence & gracefulness. How divine...how endearing...how fascinating...*

Apparently, Ballet was first performed in Italy ... not only as a dance, they sang with it! Thus, that is their way of expressing..How alluring*
Those days, Ballet was known as a romantic dance. Now, Ballet has ventured into techno music but still a beautiful dance!

Ballet is an open dance, boys are encouraged to participate. Boys are called 'Ballet Dancers' & d girls are called 'Ballerinas'. From my knowledge, d boys must be in good shape to be able to lift d ballerinas up in d air! They wear leotards.  D girls are of course dressed in TuTu's! How cute!

Have you watched Agelina Ballerina? D 'mouse' dancers are just too cute! It is a good way of reaching out to d younger generations to appreciate d art of Ballet.

Lastly, Ballet is a graceful dance! Can't wait till year end to watch my LiL Ballerina on stage!

Dress Me Up Baby Love!

Just like any ordinary girl in town..I love to play dress up! Well, on weekdays, I am usually dressed in casuals such as denim shorts or my tailored shorts paired with a simple sleeveless top, oversize glasses & my black wristlet bag. At times, I tend to tie my hair towards d side like a side pony tail or I may just let d wind run through my long hair with a silver or a gold thin hair band.
I start my day as early as 6am! I drive my girl to school, cook, do laundry & little household chores here & there. I am always on d move! Peep! Peep! bzzzzzzzzzzzzz.........!!

However, looking good & dressing up do play a major role in my life. Hey, this is ME! If you are hiring a 'Personal Stylist cum Make-Up Artist', you're on! I can be hired via per day basis* WinK*
Plus, I love EDP Parfums...I simple love to overpower people especially in d lift! SMELL ME...HaHa! LOL!

Checking, Testing 123..Hello?

Any of your spouses or boyfriends frequent travellers? Or perhaps, you have a long-distance relationship?

My question is..do u call, sms, email each other frequently? Hubs & I used to have a pretty long-distance relationship, we were at least 12 months apart. Back then, Hubs was completing his E&E degree in Queensland, Australia. Me? huh...still residing in Malaysia, hanging out at mamaks;p
Anyhow, we managed to keep our long-distance relationship alive! We practically called each other several times a week, emailed daily & would send each other sms whenever we felt like it. Hence, we made it..! 14 years!

Now, Hubs is a pretty busy one-man show. Does any of your hubs call or sms u that he will be late? Or he is lunching with his buddies? Or..he is in a serious discussion?
Yes, my hubs will definitely find time to do so even when he is out of the country. If he does not call or sms, I will continue with my household chores, cook or spend quality time with my kids. Otherwise, I will sms him to check if he is superbly busy? Are u or not coming back for dinner, so I could warm up d dinner. Of course, like everybody else, we women tend to get a lil furious if he doesn't ring or sms..haha!
Let me highlight this - Some may face problems, due to lack of communication & arguments. This applies to long-distance relationships too. Some may be too tired to even show love & respect for their spouses & loved ones, hence they feel neglected. Some may even sms each other every 15 minutes.. Do what you feel is best for your relationship.
At times, sms or email could be d best way to keep in touch* with all d latest gadgets, technologies such as  Video conferencing, Iphone etc...Facebook or Tweeter which are reachable.

Just key in something short & sweet -

Love, What are u doing?
Missing u...
Will u be back for dinner? Cooking your fav'!
Busy? Meeting? Who are u with?
Shall we go for a date?
Can't wait to see u!
I Love U..
We misssss u! xxx

Sometimes your spouse may even anticipate that he will be back shortly, u waited yet no sign & get all frustrated. He could be caught in a terrible jam or an urgent meeting. Its ok, cool it .. just pick up your Handphone, Call or Sms!

Beautiful YOU :D

When was your last Work-out or Beauty Regime?

I used to go to my club for gym nearly everyday. I would push myself to be up by 5.30-6.00am just for my gym session! We (hubs & I) would spend approaximately 2 hours working out. Hahah..when was this? It was d year we were getting married! eeeeeerrrrrrrr....2004;p We wanted to look toned, fit & healthy just for our Big Day! For me, d KEY is..to Look Good & Beautiful! Thus, my skin improved with d help of exercise & consuming Bird Nest daily! Eventually...results...I looked radiant on my Big Day!
Not only did I woke up early for gym.....I made breakfast! I would prepare noodles or sandwiches & milo to be brought to d club. What a good memoir! No money for breakfast??Hhahaha! We could actually dine in for breakfast but we would be way too late for work! After our marriage, of course.......our Gym session...Flopped;( Hehe.. gotten entirely lazy! Oh, of course we still go to Gym on an off/on basis.

Well, of course during our teenage years, we experienced a lot of breakouts & didn't know much about beauty products. Hence, afraid of major breakouts if we were to use heaps of beauty products.

Generally, my point of view...Life begins... once we hit 20's. This is d age where we want to portray confidence! That's when all d working stress hits us! Many of my friends didn't really had d time to even care for applying moisturizer, toner, anti-ageing cream etc...Their remarks were - Too tired lah! After work, I just want to go to bed straight! Can't find time for it!
Hence, 1st step, Skin is neglected & this is when your wrinkles, elasticity & breakouts happen!
Your diet holds an important tasks in your life too.
This is how you are going to look for d rest of your life.

Here are some easy, simple Beauty Regime steps I strongly encourage:-

At 20's, Day & Night Moisturizer to hydrate skin
UV sunscreen protection is a must even though you do not have pigmentation problem. Pigmentation will develop at later stage once you hit 40's.
Anti ageing cream
Toner

At 30's, our skin will lose its firmness, therefore wrinkles, eye bags will appear. Oh no! I fall into this category! Arrrggghh!! That is why I choose to eat plenty of vegetables & fruits that are high in antioxidants!
I have even started my morning brisk walk at least 5 times a week.
Thus, you may want to go for more facials or even home facials & masks which work. May want to invest in more beauty products like Lifting, Night Cream, higher UV Sunscreen & even Serums. Yes, we need a beauty cupboard! :D

We wouldn't want to look old & wrinkly next to our hubs, right?

At 40's, I believe if one has taken good care of one's skin, pampering with all d above beauty products.......You would definitely look younger, fit, confident & BEAUTIFUL!

Remember, we need at least 7 hours of good sleep, 8 glasses of water, healthy food & exercise regularly!

Beautiful You!

Serenity, Phuket It is!

First & foremost, I love beaches & sun! Sun? Hmmmm....only if it is near d ocean. *WinK*

CNY was just round d corner & my family decided to go on a family vacation just by d 'Blue Waters & White Sandy Beach.' Serenity, Phuket...Here we come!

Upon arrival, a herbal drink (Lemon Grass Tea) was served. I would say it was something pretty exotic...it tasted pretty minty & had a cooling effect that soothed d throat. Oh, and nice icy cool hand towels were handed to all of us. Aaaahhhh...superb! What a great way to start our holiday.
Lobby was pretty small, nothing to shout about. In d lobby itself, there was a little library & dvd corner & internet access. Yes, u are able to borrow the dvd's back to ya room* Fyi, Serenity is a boutique hotel.

Alright! We finally hopped on d mini buggy to our room! Rooms were definitely scenic, facing d nice turquoise swimming pool & bluish sea. Our family suite had a nice built-in kitchenette, dining table & d balcony was huge! Everything was equipped! Big lounge with an L shaped sofa & a comfy King size bed. Bathroom layout was simply beautiful! What I love most is d huge mirror!

Somehow staying in Serenity, reminded me a little of  'San Francisco-like'..d layout of d walkway to each block & rooms. I miss my SF days! hmmmm, I should probably blog about it! :)

Swimming pool was enormously stunning! Indeed, there were mini Love Huts by the pool just for u to relax. Pool was between d restaurant & bar lounge. Soft jazzy music was on 24/7! Fuuuuiiiyooooooh! I like! I like! Let's Party people! Woot! Missing my Banana Rama drink, spa massages just by d pool & overlooking d ocean...ahhhhh* We really did enjoy our walk on d little jetty, just by d beach. Just relax & enjoy d sea view on d whitish English settee. Beware - not to go during high tide! It gets all very bumpy!

The breakfast & dinner buffet had quite a good selection. My favourite was d Seafood buffet where Lobsters, tiger prawns, salmons, cray fish, crabs were served. YUMMY! If we were early, which we usually were, we tend to grab the table that looked directly over d ocean and little islands! D wind, sea breeze was simply relaxing.....it tends to get very windy too! We would spend hours & hours enjoying our wine & champagne..

Hubby treated me to a 'Valentine's Spa Package' just few blocks away from our suite. There were 3 packages for us to choose from. I chose 'LOMI LOMI' body massage package. Yes, it was a couple massage & it took about 2 hours. I loved d scent of rose & jojoba oil with scrubs on it. It was amazing! We felt so soft like a rose petal, rough surfaces were entirely gone, felt fresh & stretched! Damn, they're good! Masseuses were so friendly!

We would highly recommend this resort for those who are looking for a perfect getaway vacation. Oh, this is definitely a honeymoon getaway! WinK**

Pulau Pangkor Laut Resort

It was early last year when we had plan a Beach getaway...It was a Marvellous Holiday to remember..

It took us about 3 hours from KL to arrive Lumut. From there, we hopped on to a opened air speed boat. Ride was pretty ok & scenic! Little Islands here & there..
PLR, Lumut Check in

On our way! Spot my lil one on my chest? He is asleep!

Finally, we arrived Pulau Pangkor Laut Resort after a brief 20 minutes ride. I remembered very clearly, it was quite a long walk from d jetty to d main Villa. Hence, we're all enjoying d beautiful sourroundings of emarald waters & Yatch watching. We were served with a welcome drink & cool hand towels.
Staffs were pretty friendly, guided us d entire Island layout. Caught us by surprise, PLR is an extremely large Island! To get to our restaurants & beach, we had to call for van service. Imagine, how huge is PLR? For those whom have not been to PLR, it is just solely purely PLR..no shops unlike d main Island Pulau Pangkor.

Jetty

Our Garden Villa

We then took a slow breezy 15minutes walk to our room in Garden Villa. Our hearts melted......It is so breathtaking! D architecture is simply  to die for...it is Venice, Italian & Bali concept. Our room has a large bed, marble batroom layouts, 2 dressing tables for HIM & HER, able to open d shutters for beautiful view from d bathroom! U could bathe in d open! Beware of Monkeys! Heheh. We missed 'Spa Villas' which is on d sea waters itself. Apparently, if u are travelling with kids under a certain age, u are not allowed. This is for kids safety purpose*

Beautiful Bathroom

Mr Dolphin came along too! View from our Villa
Waiting area. Waiting for our transport to d Beach

From our Villa, we could actually see d late 'Pavaroti' suite. Yes, Pavaroti has been there numeral times for holiday!....D suite is beautifully huge! There is also a PLR Tower, just take an elevator to d highest deck to view d entire PLR. Wow! Wow!
Many restaurants to offer, food is simply YummyLicious!! Our favourite place would be d 'Chapmans Bar' which is just located at the beach front. We would spend hours & hours on d beach enjoying our meal..overlooking d entire emarald waters.. aaaaahhhhhhh..u do not need a sea shell to hear d waves*
Beach is pretty clean & not crowded. Sun Tanning oils baby!! Whhhheeeeeeeeee!
Jungle track lovers, u may want to check PLR out...u have d entire PLR island to roam!
Awesome View! Great Food!

I love U, U love me..

View from chinese restaurant

It is definitely worth d trip! Need I say more? Check out d pics & u rank it..
Swimming! Baby pool
Sayonara PLR! We will be back.....!
