Bangkok, Thailand

My very 1st trip to Bangkok, Thailand! Well, not my 1st time setting foot in Thailand though.
Do u know d ladies will greet 'Sawatika' & gents will greet
'Sawatikap' ? hehe...Its pretty tricky & sounds alike, means Welcome!

We booked ourselves a comfy Taxi at d airport to chauffer us to our
destination - Renaissance Hotel - Oh, its - 'Lenaisonce' - Hahahah!
Oooooops mind me *Wink*

My My My......D hotel is awesome! Its grand, its d 21st century Hotel!
I love every single touch & layout of d Hotel! To me, it is very
'disco techno'. One of my favourites - Lift - !!! I could
practically station myself in there! Haha! Pop song is on 24-7 without
fail. Check out d pics --

Room was a total Rock! If u are a purple & maroon person, you'll
absolutely LOVE it! Automatically, my mind was on switched off mode -
Tut! - It's soooooo comfy, makes u wanna lie in bed all day long!!

Bathroom was simply spectacular! It is see-thru glass that comes
with retractable blinds. Ooohh...it's still a Peekaboo at d side! hehe

Swimming pool, spa & gym are located at d highest level. D layout is
very similiar to 'Oasia Hotel, Singapore'. It's Beautiful! Check out d
deck chairs floating in d pool. D kids can simply splash like a
mermaid next to us relaxing on d deck chairs with no sun! But, it may get
pretty chilly at times cos it's situated at d top although it's covered. Yes,
d water is freezing cold!

Breakfast was pretty ok, not much food variety as they serve d same
old breakie daily. Staff were pretty friendly & good service too! Layout of
d restaurant was pretty similar to 'Mulia Hotel, Jakarta'.
But cannot beat 'Mulia Hotel's standard'!
Somehow d waitresses are amazed by my youngest son.......perhaps its
his personality n d famous Beatle hair style! LOL!

Location of d Hotel was good! We just had to walk 500 metres to d
train station & d walkway is all connected to all d High-end shopping
malls & hotels. So, no need to worry about getting soaked in d rain.
Yes, it is safe & you won't see any beggars nor fear pickpockets in d
crowd. D train track is just above us! Thumbs up to d architecture &
creativity of d layout! Why can't our people here make life easier
for us? =D

Shopping in Bangkok was so-so. Well, it depends on what u are
looking for & sense of taste. But to my surprise - Central World, Siam
Paragon and most of d high-end malls are WAY better than in Malaysia! Its
sooooo extreme in Bangkok! Wow, I'm impressed! Thumbs up to d Fashion
merchandisers in Bangkok!
Prices after converting, same price so I did'nt shop much. But I did
grab a few pieces from MBK & Platinum Mall. Yeah there are d
wholesalers & certain pieces are sold in bulk to get a cheaper price.
Honestly, I think Sg. Wang has cheaper & better deals. Hehe...Well, it
also depends on what designs & products u are looking for.

I missed Chatuchat Market! Apparently it is on weekends only and its
as large as 5 football fields. I will GO for it d next trip! Seems u
are able to get CHEAP n good buys from there! I've heard about this popular
quote - If u go to Bangkok, u must go to Chatuchat Market. Else, NO
point for you to travel to Bangkok! - Arrrrgggggghhhhhhhhhhh!! Next
trip, next trip! Me gonna go with an empty suitcase & shop d entire
Chatuchat Market & bring back d shopping loot to Malaysia!

Airport was pretty scenic too! U may find good souvenirs in case u
have'nt shopped enough!

Till d next Bangkok, Thailand Part 2 Blog .... :)

  1. ahh...lovely trip. I've never been to BKK too though my hubby travels there for biz every month. Ashley and I should make a trip there :) MBK is a nice place to shop and Chatuchak too. According to hubs, I may not like Chatuchak since I have claustrophobia :)
